1. Still Alice


The movie won an Oscar. Based on a bestselling book. It portrays the emotional aspect of Alzheimer's disease very well: confusion, anger, sadness.


2. The Relic


A horror movie on the topic. Viewers from different age groups could interpret this movie within their life experiences. Quite scary, be prepared! You could find it on Amazon Prime and some other streaming services.


3. It's Such a Beautiful Day


A line-animation movie. Highly philosophical, the narrative is well written. If you accept the plain animation - you will enjoy the movie to the fullest.


4. Memento


A movie with multiple awards - not about Alzheimer's, however, the protagonist has short term memory loss. The construction and plot of this movie are brilliant.


5. Away from her


A woman with Alzheimer's voluntarily enters a long-term care facility to avoid being a burden on her husband. Great movie with several awards.


6. Aurora Borealis


A drama movie about a person with dementia, which requires more care than one's spouse can handle.


7. The Father


A unique movie, dealing with declining mental health. Award-winning actors and a terrific experience watching this one!
